The Service

What FrameGrab is and how it works

FrameGrab is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to extract still frames from video files. The Service operates entirely within your web browser using standard Web APIs (Canvas, File, Blob). No video data is transmitted to or stored on any FrameGrab server.

  • The Service is provided free of charge with no subscription required
  • No account or registration is needed to use any feature
  • All processing happens locally on your device
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice
  • We may add premium features in the future; core functionality will remain free
๐ŸŽฅ

Your Content & Ownership

Your files are yours. We claim nothing.

๐Ÿ”’ You retain 100% ownership of your videos and extracted frames. FrameGrab does not receive, access, or claim any rights over files you process.

Because all processing is local, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process the video files you use with the Service. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own the video content or have a valid license to use it
  • Processing the video does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • You will not use extracted frames in ways that violate applicable laws

FrameGrab is not responsible for any copyright infringement or other legal issues arising from how you use the content you process.

  • Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Processes or distributes content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is"

FrameGrab is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
  • The tool will successfully process every video format on every device
  • Results (extracted frames) will meet your specific quality or accuracy requirements
  • Any bugs or errors will be corrected within any specific timeframe

Browser-based video processing depends on your device's hardware, browser version, and available memory. Results may vary across different environments.

Our liability is limited

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FrameGrab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or corrupted output files
  • Loss of profits or revenue resulting from use of the Service
  • Any browser crash or device issue caused by processing large video files
  • Any claims arising from your use of extracted content

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed USD $0 (since the Service is free and no payment relationship exists).
